Our mission is to use our decades of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse and birth work to demystify the process of childbirth and provide evidence based, compassionate, empowering support so families can walk into the labor room feeling empowered, confident, prepared and have a full understanding their choices and rights. We believe that EVERY family deserves personalized, holistic, non-judgmental support during one of the most vulnerable and transformative times in their lives. Birth stories have a lifetime impact on the parents, child, family and community. When birth preferences and needs are acknowledged and respected outcomes improve, and communities thrive.
Our clients can testify to the power of preparation! Labor tends to run more smoothly, progress more quickly, and feel more empowering when families begin preparing their minds and bodies well before the big day.
We provide comprehensive, evidence-based education and specific hands-on techniques that help release tension, encourage optimal fetal positioning, and promote confidence and calm.
As part of our care, we dive deep into the biology of labor and birth, helping clients truly understand what’s happening in their bodies and why. We also explore the difference between "this is the way we’ve always done it" protocols and what the latest evidence actually supports—so you can make informed decisions that align with your values.
We take pride in truly listening—getting to know each family's needs, fears, and hopes—and communicating information in a way that’s both accessible and empowering. Our work together focuses on building autonomy, supporting self-advocacy, and honoring your voice.
Together, we co-create a birth plan and experience that leads to lasting feelings of pride, satisfaction, and confidence
From Womb To World,,, we are with you every step of the way.
Hi, I'm Linna Ansary-Wilkins, founder of Womb to World MN, Birth and Lactation Services, LLC. I created this practice as a way to follow my lifelong calling—to empower families, improve outcomes, and build a collaborative community for birth workers who share my passion for uplifting and serving others.
I’m a former Labor and Delivery Nurse with over 25 years of clinical and personal experience supporting families through pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. I’ve had the honor of caring for more than 800 families (very conservative count) from diverse cultures, identities, and health backgrounds. From first-time parents with healthy pregnancies to high-risk births involving multiples or medical challenges, every story has strengthened my belief that respecting each family’s unique needs leads to better birth outcomes.
While working at some of the Twin Cities' busiest high-risk hospitals, I saw firsthand the strength, vulnerability, and resilience families embody during this transformational chapter. What I loved most—being in the room, continuously supporting and coaching during labor—was often at odds with the demands of an overburdened healthcare system.
After years on the night shift and feeling the weight of systemic pressures, I made the difficult decision to step away from the bedside and prioritize my own health and family. I transitioned into leadership roles at top global healthcare companies, gaining skills in sales, product development, training, and portfolio management—but the call to birth work never left me.
Becoming a certified birth doula was my way home. As a doula, my only loyalty is to you—the birthing person and your family—not to a hospital or provider. Research continues to show that doula care reduces medical interventions and improves birth satisfaction. I use evidence-based knowledge and hands-on comfort techniques to help clients prepare mentally and physically for labor. I also help families understand the biology of birth and distinguish between traditional hospital protocols and true evidence-based practices.
I believe in deep listening, clear communication, and shared decision-making. My approach centers on compassion, autonomy, and cultural humility. I also support fellow doulas by providing mentorship, streamlining marketing and administrative work—so they can focus on what they do best: caring for families.
These two amazing kids in the photo are my greatest inspiration. If the saying is true that “children do what you do, not what you say,” then I want to show them what it means to lead with resilience, gratitude, integrity, and inclusion.
Our team of Birth and Postpartum Doulas and Lactation Consultants are passionate about providing exceptional support to our clients. We believe in building strong, trusting relationships with our families and providing personalized care that meets their unique needs.
I'm a former Labor and Delivery Nurse with over 25 years of personal and clinical experience helping families welcome their newborns into the world! I've had the honor of supporting well over 800 families of all different cultures, identities and backgrounds. I have experience in everything from home births to high-risk procedures and deliveries. I believe no one should labor alone and everyone has a right to experienced, continuous support during one of the most transformational events in life. I am passionate about informing families about the difference between hospital protocols and evidence-based practices, so you are empowered to make healthcare decisions that align with your intuition and values.
I work hard to create a calm collaborative environment in the delivery room, so families feel safe and supported by their doula and care teams.

Hello, my name is Amanda Jurrens, and I am incredibly honored and excited to walk alongside you on one of the most transformative days of your life, the day you welcome your child into the world. My journey into birth work has been shaped by nearly a decade of experience in the assisted reproductive technology industry, both professionally and personally, as a three-time gestational carrier. These experiences have ignited a deep passion for supporting families during this beautiful chapter of their lives. I am committed to education, advocacy, and ensuring that every individual feels truly seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to bring a calming, nurturing presence to your labor and delivery, providing continuous physical and emotional support. Together, we will create the birth experience you have envisioned, making this day as empowering and memorable as possible. Outside of my work, I live in Shakopee with my husband, our two middle wonderful middle school age daughters, and our dog, Loki. In my free time, I love cooking, traveling, reading, and working on projects around our 118-year-old home. I would be truly honored to be part of your birth journey and to help make this milestone everything you have dreamed it could be.
I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside families in many roles — from early work in childcare and La Leche League leadership to a decade as a stay-at-home parent. I’ve supported breastfeeding and infant feeding, eased household transitions, and helped parents find rhythms that reduce stress and build confidence during the tender weeks and months after birth.
Before launching Peapod Postpartum, I worked as a project manager, where I learned how to bring order to chaos and offer steady, positive energy during stressful times — valuable experience for supporting families during the “fourth trimester.”
Whether helping with newborn care, household rhythms, or emotional support, my goal is to nurture growing families with compassion and joy.
My husband and I raised our four children in the Twin Cities and now split our time between Minneapolis and Ely, MN. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, reading, cooking, and planning our next adventure.

After completing my Bachelor's degree In Nursing from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, I was hired for my dream job as an L&D Nurse at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. I gained a tremendous amount of experience in every imaginable pregnancy and birth scenario, but I found the greatest job satisfaction and witnessed the best outcomes when I had the luxury to stay in the room and provide personalized, continuous, support to one family at a time. As a doula, and doula mentor, I can give my best to help empower clients to their personal positive birth story.

If the situation allows, We are happy to capture the beauty and magic of your birth experience in photos and videos. Birthing a baby, vaginally or via Cesarean, can be exhausting, physically and mentally. During your prenatal visits we will complete a "forth trimester"/postpartum plan so that you have the support you need to rest and recover. We also have Postpartum Care packages to help you and your family rest easy.
