W take pride in listening, getting to know the family's needs, fears, and hopes. I communicate information in a way that is understandable so that clients feel informed and empowered and can advocate for themselves.
Hi! My name is Linna Ansary-Wilkins. I started Womb to World MN, Birth and Lactation Services, LLC as an avenue to follow my calling to empower families, optimize outcomes, and create an organization where opportunities abound for birth workers who share my passion for uplifting families.
I'm a former Labor and Delivery Nurse with over 25 years of personal and clinical experience helping families welcome their newborns into the world! I have had the honor of supporting well over 500 families of all different cultures, identities and backgrounds, and medical conditions through pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
Working at one of the Twin Cities busiest high-risk hospitals, I witnessed the strength, grace, heart ache and joy families face during one of the most transformational times in their lives. These experiences range from first time parents with a healthy baby, to families pregnant with quadruplets, health challenges, loss and everything in between. I learned that every delivery is unique, and every family unit has their own personality, structure, preferences and needs that when acknowledged and respected lead to a beautiful birth story and better outcomes.
I take pride in listening, getting to know the family's needs, fears, and hopes. I communicate clinical information in a way that is understandable so that clients feel informed and empowered and can advocate for themselves. I found that the best experiences, for me and the families I worked with, happened when I had the luxury of time to be in the room, continuously coaching and supporting them through the labor process. Unfortunately, our healthcare system places high demands on nursing time and families are left to labor on their own with only intermittent coaching from busy nurses.
As much as I loved my job, after years of working full time on the night shift and enduring the stresses of our healthcare systems, I had to make the very difficult decision to walk away from the bedside and prioritize my health and family. So, I went to work at some of the world's top healthcare companies and excelled in sales, training, product development and portfolio management. However, there was always a calling in my heart back to birth work. I needed to find a way back.
As soon as I found the opportunity, I choose to return to birth work as a doula. As a doula, my only responsibility and loyalty is to my clients, not the hospital, providers or staff. As many research studies show, my work reduces risk and medical interventions while increasing a family's satisfaction., among other benefits. I can also use my years of business experience to help make an impact in the doula community by collaborating and consolidating administrative and marketing tasks so that fellow birth workers can focus on doing the work they love.
The two amazing kids in this photo are the loves of my life and my inspiration. If the old saying that "kids do what you do, not what you say." is true, then I want them to see an example of resilience, gratitude, authenticity, integrity and inclusion in the service of our community.
I look forward to supporting you in creating YOUR Birth Experience. Your Way.

I'm a former Labor and Delivery Nurse with over 25 years of personal and clinical experience helping families welcome their newborns into the world! I've had the honor of supporting well over 500 families of all different cultures, identities and backgrounds. I have experience in everything from home births to high-risk procedures and deliveries. I believe no one should labor alone and everyone has a right to experienced, continuous support during one of the most transformational events in life. I am passionate about informing families about the difference between hospital protocols and evidence-based practices, so you are empowered to make healthcare decisions that align with your intuition and values.
I work hard to create a calm collaborative environment in the delivery room, so families feel safe and supported by their doula and care teams.

Hello, my name is Amanda Jurrens, and I am incredibly honored and excited to walk alongside you on one of the most transformative days of your life, the day you welcome your child into the world. My journey into birth work has been shaped by nearly a decade of experience in the assisted reproductive technology industry, both professionally and personally, as a three-time gestational carrier. These experiences have ignited a deep passion for supporting families during this beautiful chapter of their lives. I am committed to education, advocacy, and ensuring that every individual feels truly seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to bring a calming, nurturing presence to your labor and delivery, providing continuous physical and emotional support. Together, we will create the birth experience you have envisioned, making this day as empowering and memorable as possible. Outside of my work, I live in Shakopee with my husband, our two middle wonderful middle school age daughters, and our dog, Loki. In my free time, I love cooking, traveling, reading, and working on projects around our 118-year-old home. I would be truly honored to be part of your birth journey and to help make this milestone everything you have dreamed it could be.
We are excited to welcome 2 Postpartum Specialists in April.
Stay Tuned!
After Completing my Bachlors degree In Nursing from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, I was hired for my dream job as an L&D Nurse at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. I gained a tremendous amount of experience in every imaginable pregnancy and birth scenario, but I found the greatest job satisfaction and witnessed the best outcomes when I had the luxury to stay in the room and provide personalized, continuous, support to one family at a time. As a doula I can give my best to help empower clients to create their birth story, Their way.
